Timber frame houses have been around in Ireland for a long time and have proved their durability, with the same expected life-span as a conventional type house, but with the added advantages of much faster construction and improved energy efficiency - up to 40% more efficient than traditional block-constructed houses.
At Kilbroney Timberframe we have built up more than 30 years experience in the construction industry in Ireland, and 15 years specifically in the timber frame manufacturing sector. With traditional construction methods all stages of the build process are heavily dependent on each other, e.g. foundations need to be complete before interior walls can be started. With timberframe construction the house structure can be manufactured in parallel with the laying of the foundations and shipped to the site as soon as they are required, for rapid erection.
